Plus a lot of Kiwis take their cues from the US and the UK, where the bigots are winning. - I think that we're winning, but I think this one might be a sacrifice play. If we let them feel like they're safe as we pee in our unisex bathrooms, then we can win the bigger war and get the same rights as those fucks. That's the Gender Identity and Expression Bill, but also strongly campaigning for trans and gender-diverse people to be legally protected from hate speech. All those scandalous accusations that they make about us are perfectly legal, while if we were to say similar things about them, they'd probably begin some nuisance lawsuit to target us and discourage our activists. - Their fear-mongering is certainly working right now, but I doubt that Brian Tamaki is likely to be able to get the 3.5% of the population that he intends to mobilise. We're much smaller than that, obviously, but so is his real support base. Plus it's trendy to support trans issues in NZ. That's probably a positive from the Posey Parker protests. I think we could easily count on 5% of the population if we mobilised.
